Short Artist Profile Video

Hey!
Sorry it has been so long since my last update...the holiday season has rendered me rather lethargic and sleepy. But, now that I am back on my feet I would like to introduce a short artist bio about me done by my two BEST friends Brian Hollars and Eric Pennycoff. These two dudes are deeply involved in the art of filmmaking and both have an incredible gift when it comes to getting behind the camera. Both helped shoot the interview but each one edited their own version, this one being Brian Hollars' version. Eric Pennycoff's version will be up here very soon!

Anyways, they basically set me up in my studio and we essentially just started talking about art. What I like to convey, what it means to me, who are my influences, etc. I was nervous at first but ended up having so much fucking fun with the process!

Brian Hollars, a third-year Telecommunications major at Ball State University, has been my dude since the first grade. He just finished a summer internship in LA and has so many good ideas brewing. Most of his work can be found here, on his Vimeo page:

Eric Pennycoff happens to be my roommate and a third year Film major at The University of Saint Francis. He has just returned from an arduous semester in Brooklyn working with Glass Eye Pix on set. He has always been my best friend and his version will soon be posted! Stay tuned...

Anyway, we had so much fun making this and I hope you guys enjoy them.

BLACKHEART MOUNTAIN CULTURE/COLLECTIVE

I was recently asked to become a part of the BlackHeart Mountain Collective made by my friends Patrick Taylor and Dusty Neal. The site is basically a great collective that helps young artists release and communicate new ideas/projects. I am extremely thankful to become part of the team and I hope to see a long future for BLACKHEART and everything it represents.

Shirt Design for UNCONQUERED CLOTHING

Just a little illustration I did for Nate Click's printing experimentation: Unconquered Clothing
If you don't know Nate Click or have never been tattooed by him than you must be a homeless man.
A great artist and a great dude in general.

Hopefully the shirts will be printed soon...
P.S. he is creating the text to go w/ the design

HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY POSTERBOMB

This semester, the thought of a "How To" manual started to spark a couple ideas in my head. "How To Rob a Bank" or "How To Eat a Fish" "How to Give a Blowjob" etc blah blah. However, I wanted to do a manual on something that has never seen a "How To" before nor does it even need one. I figured if I was going to do a manual on street art, it would have to be wheat pasting. Not only does the process remain a mystery to some but the fact that I was even starting to make a "How To" manual on something that is as independent as street art was rather funny.

The book I made is called "How To Successfully Posterbomb" and it's 36 pages (16 steps) of a stylistic step-by-step on how to destroy your local city. The book is complete with design, illustrations, photography, and some writing so I definitely put a SHIT LOAD of time into it.

If you would like to buy one, I am selling them for 25 dollars...SO FAR I HAVE TEN LEFT SO HURRY!

Contact me if your interested: wilsontr1@cougars.sf.edu

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed making it. Just some lighthearted street-art inspired literature for the underdogs!

Here's some sneak peaks:

GET UP AND BUY ONE SO YOU CAN DESTROY YOUR CITY AND ALL THAT LIVE IN IT!!!!

K MOORE'S BUSINESS CARDS!

I recently offered to help out one of my good friends by designing some business cards to advertise her fine art. I was actually really excited to do something like this because I've wanted to design an identity for a fine artist for a long time. Most of the time, those who want business cards, logos, etc. done for them are companies or brand names...but its cool to do some promotional work for an independent painter and a long-time friend. Her work is also so fucking dope too so if you haven't checked her out yet, DO IT:

I am only showing you 2 out of the 3 cards that I made for her...but hopefully they will get printed real soon cause I am really happy with them.

Shirt Design w/ Paco

Recently i've linked with my friend Paco on a shirt design. He does some great screen printing at his own house and is just an overall hard-working, dedicated dude. I was definitely down to collaborate on a shirt design.

It was decided that he would create the type for the shirt and I would deal with the illustration.
I had so much fun drawing this that I want to make a million more now! But this is it for now:

(Shirts coming soon!)

I also thought I would put up a pic of the horrible shape my studio has been in lately.

AHHH...

I recently started the next self-portrait for my Under the Cloud series...
So far I am pretty pumped with how its turning out.
The theme remains the same.

And I had to take this photo/put it up because I love getting new paint:
